“Free-Standing Anime”

In this class, students will utilize character development and story telling techniques to collaborate in creating a narrative scene. Students will split into pairs to brainstorm their scene and characters. They will illustrate a scene, on paper, that fits into their narrative. They will create their characters, cut them out of paper and insert them into their scene. They will present this scene to the class on their final day!
Techniques:
- Students will learn how to create an original character
- Students will learn about proportions and perspective
- Students will learn how to situate characters in a 3D space
