At Art All Night – Trenton every year, we’ve had a Dueling Muralists battle, where the theme of that year’s Monster’s Ball is revealed. For this year’s Monster’s Ball, we’re having our own duel: a battle of the Dueling Body Painters!
In the first corner we have local bodypainting legend Leon Rainbow. He’s a part of the S.A.G.E. Coalition, and his work can be seen on walls and in galleries across the city (as well as throughout the tri-state area). He’s taken his talents to the canvas of the body, throwing a number of Rock Ya Body events where he’s transformed the human body into a living, breathing work of art.
His opponent? Meagan Impellizzeri. You might not know her name like you know Leon’s, but you better not sleep on her talents with a brush. Meagan’s a professional makeup artist and assistant professor at Mercer County Community College who has a knack for special effects makeup and other intriguing looks.

Meagan is so talented that we actually have her teaching a Special Effects Makeup 101 class at Artworks Trenton on October 14th. For $25, this BYOB event will teach you how to properly get your gore on for Halloween this year. It’ll also be an added look at the competition that the esteemed Leon Rainbow is up against.
Remember, the only way to catch out Dueling Body Painters is if you buy a ticket to attend this year’s Monster’s Ball on October 22nd. Our “Nightmare On The Bayou”-themed night will have live music, classic movies, a costume contest, and our Art of Darkness exhibit. It’s 21+ this year, so make sure you have your I.D.s on you!
