FUGAZI

FUGAZI is a self-titled multidisciplinary exhibition that explores the idea of perspective as the foundation of human experience. Rooted in the concept of moral relativism, the work reflects on how truth is shaped by culture, time, and personal identity. Rather than proposing a single, universal reality, this collection invites viewers to consider how meaning shifts depending on who is looking, and from where.

At the heart of the exhibition is the relationship between the observer and the observed. When two people from entirely different backgrounds stand before the same artwork, what do they see? What does that shared moment of observation reveal about difference, connection, and reflection? FUGAZI asks viewers to sit with these questions, encouraging a deeper awareness of how lived experiences influence perception and worldview.

The works in this exhibition are designed to evoke introspection and dialogue, drawing attention to the emotional and philosophical connections we form with ideas, images, and one another. Through shared observation, the exhibition suggests that while our realities may differ, meaning can emerge in the space between perspectives.

About the Artist

FUGAZI is a 23-year-old self-taught multidisciplinary artist from Trenton, New Jersey. Beginning their creative journey at a young age, FUGAZI started tattooing and working as a freelance graphic designer at 16, producing album covers, logos, and digital artwork. This foundation in design helped shape a distinct creative voice, eventually leading to a full transition into traditional mediums.

Today, FUGAZI’s practice centers on creating work of substance and personal significance. Their art seeks to move beyond surface-level appearances, offering reflections on identity, authenticity, and the inner world of the viewer. Through each piece, FUGAZI aims to create a bridge between art and self-reflection, inviting audiences to look more closely at themselves and the world around them with renewed clarity and appreciation.
