Let's Draw Animals w/ John Gummere

LET’S DRAW ANIMALS!

at the New Jersey State Museum with John Gummere

Three Saturdays, November 9 & 23, and December 7 • 11 am – 1 pm | $35 per session

The New Jersey State Museum has a wonderful natural science exhibit that features dinosaur and other skeletal remains as well as taxidermy specimens of bears, wildcats, birds, and other animals. Artworks Trenton’s Teaching Artist John Gummere regularly leads workshops on basic drawing for students at all levels, beginner through advanced. Emphasis on skills similar to those used in life drawing and still life. Beginners benefit from methodical instruction on basics, and more advanced students can work more independently with instruction as needed. You may choose to develop your drawings with a range of lights and shadows. Come for one, two, or three sessions! Artworks supplies basic drawing materials.

Registration is online in advance ONLY.

You are asked to use only pencil on paper in the Museum; no easels or camp stools. In consideration for the use of the Museum’s resources, we encourage you to make a small voluntary cash donation to the Museum when you enter. John Gummere is a Trenton-area representational painter. He often features animals in his paintings. He graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Architecture and later graduated from the Four-Year Certificate Program at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
