Artworks Trenton is proud to host Breaking the Frame, a month-long exhibition presented by the Trenton Community A-Team (TCAT) in celebration of their 25th anniversary. Running from October 28 through November 26, 2025, this powerful showcase features the creativity and resilience of Trenton’s self-taught artists, inviting audiences to look beyond stereotypes and into the lives and talents of the city’s vibrant creative community.
Founded in 2000 by five artists at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), TCAT has grown into a thriving collective that provides space, resources, and opportunities for artists who might otherwise lack access. Over the past 25 years, TCAT has fostered growth through exhibitions, its permanent gallery at Studio 51, and numerous community and cultural programs that continue to enrich Trenton’s arts scene.
We are thrilled to celebrate TCAT’s 25-year journey by sharing our story on the walls of Artworks,” says Anthony Catanese, TCAT Director. “Our artists are incredibly proud to have their work featured in one of Trenton’s most respected galleries, and this exhibition is a powerful reminder of the creativity and spirit that defines our community.
