Art. Trenton. Everywhere.
This is Trenton's biggest open studio tour yet, with 37 sites all around the city -- seven of which didn't even exist last year! We have around 100 artists participating individually or as part of collectives. Several very special private studios are open for the first time, and unique pop-up events and exhibits are dotted throughout the city. There's so much going on we had to add an hour!
Everything starts & ends at
Artworks, where you'll also find everything you'll need: maps, guides, food from our participating food trucks, tours, trolleys, and plenty of space to park. Every participating artist also has a piece in the group show.
How to do Art All Day
The map and guide
Art All Day is for the explorers at heart. In addition to the print
map and
guide, there's an online, interactive map and guide this year -- so you can really tell where you're going and what you'll find. Hit "Sites" above to see what's where, and "Artists" for a directory.
12-6 pm: Bike Tour
The bike tour departs from Artworks at
noon, for a meandering trip around the sites.
Bring your own bike, helmet, and lights!
Walking Tours
- 12:30 "Scale it Up!" - with Illia Barger and Lori Johansson. A conversation about the techniques and mediums used to create large-scale public art pieces in downtown Trenton.
- 2:00 -- with Artworks Executive Director Lauren Otis. A tour of downtown Art All Day sites and public art.
- 3:30 "The Creek to Canal Creative District" - with Jonathan Gordon (Isles). See what the buzz is about! Visiting sites, public art, and development projects in Trenton's first arts district.
Trolleys
- Hop-On Hop-Off (Downtown)
We have a lot of sites clustered in downtown Trenton and the Creek to Canal Creative District this year! We've added TWO continuous hop-on hop-off trolley loops to help you get around them. Trolleys come by each site appx every 30-40 minutes.
- Tour Trolleys
There will be two loops to help visitors see outer sites. Each loop lasts about two hours and visits up to six studios, pop-ups, or host spaces.
6-8 pm: Reception
When you're properly tuckered out from seeing everything, meander back to Artworks for the group exhibit and reception.
