We at Artworks are devastated by the tragic shooting which occurred at Art All Night early in the morning on June 17 and forced the cancellation of the remainder of the event. Our first thoughts are for the innocent victims of the violence and their families. Our hearts go out to them and we are wishing and praying for their speedy recovery.
Our sadness is unfathomable, our hearts are heavy, but this tragedy has if anything strengthened our resolve to continue our work connecting Trenton’s wonderful and diverse cultures and communities through art and creativity, providing the city and its residents with education and recreation opportunities, and building a better Trenton for all.
Artworks and Art All Night are currently in contact with many kind individuals and caring organizations in and outside of Trenton. We thank you for your expressions of support. Soon, we intend to announce plans for partnering with other great organizations in the community on a gathering which we hope will show the world that Trenton is strong and resilient, and out of this tragedy we will emerge stronger and more unified than ever.
