Adult Workshops - Call for proposals

Artworks Trenton is looking for instructors to teach adult workshops on select Fridays and Saturdays. We are looking for both traditional and experimental workshops in a variety of mediums including, but not limited to, the following:

-PRINTMAKING*

  • Monoprint/Monotype
  • Relief Printing (linoleum or woodblock)
  • Intaglio (drypoint/engraving/aquatint/mezzotint)
  • Screenprinting
  • Alternative Print Processes

-DRAWING/PAINTING

-COLLAGE

-FIBER

-JEWELRY

-BOOK BINDING

*Artworks does not have the capability of etching with acids and is unable to schedule ceramics classes due to the layout of our facility.

We are always open to hearing new ideas that involve unconventional materials, such as techniques using upcycled goods. Adult workshops are for ages 18 and older and are usually 3-5 hours long.

Workshops will be held at Artworks, Trenton’s downtown art center. Artworks’ 40-foot-high sky-lit gallery, classrooms and studios inspire all who enter and showcase the successful adaptive reuse of an urban/industrial space.

* Cutler Hammer Electric Press (28″ x 48″ bed)

* Dolan Woodblock Press (16” x 24” bed)

* Vandercook Letterpress Proof Press (15” x 32” bed)

* X-Vactor Exposure Unit with analog timer

* Washout Booth with pressure washer

* Brayers in all sizes

* Flat files and drying racks

Youth Workshops - Call for proposals

Artworks Trenton is looking for instructors to teach youth workshops for our Youth Art League programming. This free programming, designed to inspire the youth of our communities, will now be offered all throughout the year with a variety of classes introducing new and exciting techniques in sculpting, drawing, collage, and so much more. These classes will be held in Artworks’ 40-foot-high sky lit classrooms February through December and are will be scheduled on Saturdays 12pm-2pm for youth ages 6-15. Each month focuses on one subject that is taught in two to three individual classes.

Class 3: Portrait
