Second Annual Juried Print Exhibition

March 11 – April 25, 2015

Artworks Second Annual Juried Print Exhibition, showcasing the works of printmakers from around the country, whose works are created using traditional hand-pulled media as well as works that employ new and hybridized media.

April 29,30– Pick up artwork. 1pm – 6pm

Eligibility:

This national / international exhibition is open to all artists that are 18 years of age and older. All printmaking media, exclusive of commercial reproductions, are eligible. Artworks encourages submissions in traditional printmaking media, as well as works that employ new and hybridized media.

Juror:   Stephen McKenzie

Stephen McKenzie is presently the Education Director and Shop Manager at the Newark Print Shop.  He was the Manager for the Newark Museum Arts Workshop in Newark, NJ for 21 years.  He has been an adjunct instructor at four schools in three states and has worked as an assistant master printer at the Center for Innovative Printmaking at Rutgers University.

Stephen earned a BA from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN and an MA from St. Cloud State University, MN.  He studied one year as a graduate student through the Temple University, Tyler School of Art Abroad Program while in Rome.  He completed his graduate studies for an MFA at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick, NJ.

Stephen has participated in programs at The University of Saskatchewan, The Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada and The Anderson Ranch in Colorado and Berlin.  He has received awards for his work and most recently an Honorable Mention at the 2009 American Impressions National Juried Printmaking and Book Art Exhibition.
