Artists and Friends! –

It’s still sweltering, but it’s time to start planning the fall. Art All Day, Trenton’s open studio tour, is Saturday, November 4th, and it promises to be bigger and more fun than ever!

I’m Iana, your friendly local Art All Day coordinator for this year. I’ve been involved in Art All Day for the past three years setting up various pop-up sites, and it is hands-down my favorite art event in Trenton –  the city itself is a lead character, and a lot of people have told us it’s their favorite way of experiencing it. I’m really stoked to be joining the Artworks team to make it happen!

What is Art All Day?

Trenton’s arts scene is on a roll, and there’s no better opportunity to see what the buzz is all about than Art All Day, Artworks’ free celebration of creativity throughout the city. Saturday, November 4 marks the sixth annual Art All Day, featuring open studio tours, demos, pop-up galleries, public art and more.

Registration is now open for artists and organizations.  Artists need not live or work in Trenton in order to participate in Art All Day. Those without their own space in the city will be paired with a Trenton-based pop-up gallery. All Art All Day participating artists may submit work for the Art All Day group show in Artworks’ main gallery on view from November 4 - December 1.

Art All Day features convenient trolley routes, leaving from Artworks and connecting sites, food truck offerings, and a whole new free Art All Day map/program, available in advance from Artworks. Bike tours, live demonstrations, art and history talks, and other immersive activities will satisfy all levels of curiosity and adventurousness. Some of Trenton’s most illustrious artists and artisans will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss their technique.

The open studio tour takes place from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, followed by a celebratory reception at Artworks from 6 to 8 p.m. Artworks, Trenton’s visual arts center, is located at 19 Everett Alley, Trenton, NJ 08611.
